Advice for a bandleader

I am a dancer - and a bandleader

I would be interested in getting suggestions for
the perfect mix of dances during an hour's dancing

For example: My selection may be in this order:
Do you feel this mix is a good one?
Waltz
Foxtrot
Swing
Rhumba
Cha Cha
Waltz
Swing
Tango
Foxtrot
Viennese Waltz
Rhumba
Quickstep
Waltz
Samba
Cha Cha
Swing
Foxtrot
Tango
Quickstep

I would replace the second Swing and last Quickstep with a Salsa. If your group is anything like the one at my studio, the Quickstep will see, MAYBE four couples on the floor. Same with the Viennese Waltz. But I would definitely find a way to work a couple Salsas into the mix.

I suppose it does depend a little on what people like to dance. I liked your mix, and I suspect that most of the people on this forum would like it too. But maybe dgcasey's remarks are correct; I dont know.

I would suggest that you consider a bolero either as a replacement for a rhumba or not, and a Merengue.
