Hi,

I am really at a loss for words because all the teaching videos are in tape format.I thought i am from the 3rd world living in Sri Lanka. I have given up using a video tape player years ago. Why is it that difficuilt to convert them to DVD format. I need to buy the Bronze International standard Foxtrot and Tango fast as DVD's. My classes start in June. Can anyone help me?

Regards

Nishan

Ever heard of a DVD recorder?.If you can get one;all you need to do is to hook up your VCR output to the input of the DVD recorder and you should be able to transfer all your VHS tape to a DVD.

Are there any blockers from tape to dvds? Most tapes can't be recorded due to blocking of the visual image when reecording. I have ton of tapes that I hate using too.

Many tapes are recorded with a copy protection method. Most DVD recorders refuse to record from such tapes.

Pity, as tape is so inconvenient compared to DVD.

No offense meant here what so ever, so please forgive me if I do offend......You have a class scheduled in which YOU are teaching the Int'l Foxtrot and Tango? Now, if this is the case.....Why dont you get the videos, and learn the material first, then schedule the class when you are comfortable with the steps? I am ALL ABOUT people learning Int'l Style!!!! But in the same respect, this brings to mind the old chain studios where the teacher was learning the step themselves 10 minutes before they had to teach the students. If you are indeed the teacher, reschedule the class, as to give yourself time to learn and understand the steps. If I am completely wrong in understanding your situation, please ignore this LONG post!

Good luck regardless

Whatever the story was, the future June referenced was that of last year...

I guess re-scheduling the class is out of the question then huh? I guess I need to look at the dates posted.....
