Helo, I would like to realize the full meaning of the following sentence . Please give me teaching sample. Thanks.
"...but it is important to remember that in practically every case this swivel of foot is made after the next step is in position."
I am puzzled about the next step mentioned.. Because I only knew swivel is one step turning on standing ball with foot flat , other foot may in CBMP w/w or other position .
Is the next step the first step of following figure ?Is it necessary to do like that ? Did the rule change now ?
In Fabio lesson clip , I noted lady 's outside swivel followed by quick left turn : the left foot, w/w , was shaped far behind the right foot , then quick curved forward 3 steps around the man's left side , LF, RF , Lf, then long backward 2 walks keeping the body connection as well as the last step on quick turn. toward the center...

Where did you find this?

I don't think it has anything to do with the outside swivel figure in tango, or really with tango at all.

Instead, it seems to be a description of the foot swivel action (of both feet synchronized) that occurs as part of the turning technique used by the person on the outside of a turn in something like waltz. (Natural turn - man's feet make most of their turn only after step 2 is placed, when lady is moving forward she makes most of her foot turn only after step 5 is placed)

In contrast Tango places feet already turned to the new alignment, or turned as much to it as is comfortable, with the remainder to be made up on arrival.

page 225, ( end part ) by Alex Moore.
In the accompanying charts a few swivels of the feet have been shown but it is important to remember that in practically every case this swivel of the foot is made after the next step is in position."

Forget that about the right hip advance in Tango or the timing in feather although they were true in DVD. New tichnique and thought create more fluid movement and extending line outcome, and the time value used responded. especially the treatment of the & of last beat and the first beat of next bar, the more linear track used ...
Last night , I had a lesson with a new coach , his views and interpretation of dance brought me into another angle to understand the dance . I need more open mind to upgrate myself.
