Hello, I am focusing on the body weight distribution . My teacher wants me swing far on beat 2 in waltz. such as spin turn , turning lock to right, rolling chasse ,left cross step from pp, chasse from pp. He said I should let my body away standing foot a little bit earlier, Maybe he is right . I have a little bit panid for that to support leaving body weight approaching the midway of stride keeping moving foot skimming the floor without body weighton it before the moving heel landing. so, my body weight distribution is seldom reasonable. After releasing excessive core muscle tension , I got more flexible and natural feeling . I asked him how strength should be my muscle tension over my pelvis and lower back ? He looked at me and said, now you stand very straight and vertical, you evne has big volume above your shoulders and head. What muscles you used ? I laughed and answered : I can't point them out . quite a little. He said , because of that you used odd force in your body, it blocked your ability of movement or changed direction in line figure very soon. Fortunately, you can release it and get progress quite fast. It was not easy . Related muscles group are beeing contracted or released to create shape. and assist the dynamic moving. they are alive. Of course , not collapsed. Absolulely identical as Tony 's view. My teacher told me he is so satisfied to have student like me because he knew very well of that I love dancing and study hard . He will endeavor to teach me to dance well. So lucky, am I ? I thought , if the technigue of co-ordinate moving can be express in words , not only following feeling, I can practice it on myself preventing from wrong muscular memory. Please use the examples such as quick open reverse turn , chasse in pp, 2 three step to clarify. great thanks.
