turns

Hi there!
I've been dancing for about 7 months now, and my biggest problem is turns. In latin dancing we do lots of them, and the hardest thing for me is to do a double turn correctly... I usually fall off balance or move from my original position. I've learned a few exercises that I practice regularly that are supposed to help you get better at this and work on spotting as well, but it just seems that I can't get better! If I practice with a partner, usually 1 double turn comes out good after 25 of them! So does anyone have any suggestions how I can improve? How long can it take for turns to become second nature and be perfect?
Thanks,
Mraz

i've been dancing for about 8 months now, and i've had so many people trying to help me with turns. My mum continuously goes over the footwork with me, and my partner is very patient. the best thing to do is keep your arm slightly tense, so that when your partner pushes you go around more easily and can follow their lead. Aside from that, just practice like mad and they come in the end...so i'm told! Good Luck!
