Last night , my coach gave me a homework: He showed me 2 swing up and 1 trnasform in figure running natural spin turn ( 456, 12&3 .waltz )different from the description in page 42 (Guy Haward ).
I can not dance as he said. I only can rise on late end of 1 ( RF). facing LOD, right turn 1/2. up on 2 ( LF, ... keep same high level on the following & on my RF, LF delayed behind RF , then onto its position ( facing DC) body weight transfered to left foot on 3. I also noted the earlier rising block the forwad speed , I prefered a gradual up on & (beat 2 )with LF slow follow through and swing to its position . or dance as syncopated pivot action ... What do you think ?

This teacher is wrong. You always rise aimed at the point at which you will start to lower - if you rise so early, what would you do during the rest of the figure? and where would the shape and drift of the exit come from? Also, what would the man do? Take a toe lead on the second step? I sure hope not, but that probably is what your teacher does.

Thanks for your prompt response. Your support enhanced my mind to dance as what the techinuqe book said.
Some coaches here said with certainty: we were qualified in Peking proved by Royal XX. The book is useless, except with the examination. True dancing is absolutely another thing. No one dances following the book..."
Terrible!!! I thought the only way they keep their students is to change their mind , upgrade themselves, treat students honestly.
Correct concept guide and push us to practice better resulting from sharing the knowledge with the top dancers. Good teachers are able to lead students to right position he wants in right timing ,and explain what and why scientifically.
