Hi
On more than one occasion at a recent medallist competition danced in the UK, two males danced together. This is the first time I've seen this. What I would like to know does this occur in other countries?

I am from South Africa and have never seen two males dance together in a competition. That is not on. Never in a competition.

On the other hand, during practice sessions, a male teacher/instructor might dance with another male for teaching purposes only.
But never in a competition.

I have only seen it once on german television. Apparently there are same sex competitions.
I was talking about it with people at the studio and some of the ladies thought it disgusting that two men should dance together but I found this type of comp very interesting. Couples were being marked on smooth change of roles (lead/follow) during the dance - one partner would lead into a figure and they would come out roles reversed with the other partner leading. For people who truly love dancesports I think this is really something to at least watch.

I suppose a line could be drawn when a male walks onto the floor wearing a lady's dress.

Hi, I just want to inform you, here in
Montréal, Canada at the end of July "the Outgames" will be present. Its like "Gay games", and they will have a dance sport competition, and I will be going to see how its like... I am sure its very interesting to watch the lead/follow.
