Thanks Laura, indeed I was mistaken. I saw a very interesting documentary about ballroom dancing being included in the olympics, and in the end they managed to convince the commitee to include it "in the next olympic games". Since this movie is a year old, I assumed they reffered to 2008. I guess I got it wrong.
Oh well, at least you've read the text. Most of our sites visitors jump directly to THE RUMBA IN UNDERWEAR VIDEO...
Keep check us out, I'm uploading and adding more stuff all the time.
I'll correct this mistake next time I'm doing stuff in the site.

Gurtlv There is a big problem with Dancing becoming an Olympic Sport. Just give an example Brian Watson from S.Africa dancing for Germany with Carmen who probably isn't German either. Then we have Americans dancing with Russians and so on. You can work it out for yourself. Congratulations on the Medal

The "Russian competing for America" is actually a US Citizen, though. The Olympics requires that all people competing on each National team be actual citizens of that country. This can be complex -- Tanith Belbin, originally from Canada, had to sit out the Salt Lake City Olympics because her US citizenship wasn't processed in time. She almost missed the Torino Olympics, too, but a special legislative act in the US Congress got her and some other people their citizenships in the nick of time.

I'm really happy for you guys -- you look fabulous in your pictures. However, I think the International Olympic Committe would take issue with this statement from your web site:

> Dancesport has been recently recognized
> as an Olympic sport and will be part of
> the 2008 Olympic Games.

The second part of this statement is completely untrue. DanceSport has not been put on any Olympic schedule. It was decided a couple of years ago that it would not be contested in Athens (2004) or Beijing (2008). The earliest it would apear would bein 2012 (and only if it is approved in time) -- I'm betting it will be more like 2016 -- if at all.

You can look up a list of all the sports that will be contested in the 2008 Olympics on the www.beijing2008.com web site.
