Why do people spell the word rumba as 'rhumba'! Is it the way you were told to spell it, the way your teachers spelt it or??

I find this interesting because when i have searched the dictionary it says rhumba is another way of spelling rumba, but is there a reason why it's spelt different?

Rhumba is a variant spelling of Rumba, so the dictionary said. Wally Laird who wrote the book spells it as Rumba. I beleive if you go to the International at the Albert Hall London in a few days time you will be dancing the Rumba.
