So in dancing we create our own problems instead of doing what should come naturally. We stand with our weight over our standing leg and push the other forward. Our weight is actually gone in the opposite direction to the way we want to go and we are no longer verticle. Solution just like when we walk we walk away from our standing leg keeping verticle.
Going backwards. Our main problem seems to be that we push our leg to the rear loose our verticle position and lean forward. Again our weight has gone in the opposite direction to the way we hope to travell. This gets a bit tricky. how do you explain to someone that the weight mustn't lean forward and must not lean back. Simple stand up straight and walk away from the supporting leg making sure the rear heel doesn't lower to quickly. Be verticle when you leave and be verticle when you arrive. And do a Bronze Medal.
