I am 20 and i have always had a passion for dancing..I have danced since i was 10 in church and for since high school. I have always had a passion to learn latin ballroom..I wanted to know am I too old to learn latin ballroom professionally and one day in the future compete??

No, you're not too old. You can start dancing at any age.

When you say professionally, do you mean making your living by dancing? That means, 99% of the time, teaching dance full-time and competing on top of that.

It's also possible to compete as an amateur if you do not make your living from dancing.

Jesse Sota who recently was on dancing with the stars and finished 3rd in last American Latin Championships, started dancing at 21.

if you are willing to start dancing professionaly at 21 you can do it so easily, because when dancing is ur passion you can do it but u need to work a lot on ur flexibility by doing lots of stretching and pilates and yoga, by training reguraly and seriously.all u need is a good partner and lots of your time for training.Make a lot of self training and technique.Be sure that at any age a person can start dancing and succeed!good luck

Latinbella, You mentioned that you danced at church since you were 10. Please tell me about it. was it with a dance team? I recently went to a retreat that was all about worshipping with dance. Thanks and best wishes in your dancing endeavors! God bless.
