Sway in tango

I need for a basic-only competition your suggestions:

Is it possible to dance a sway in the tango figures from the ballroom technique book (istd)?

I know, oversway and contra check have a (over)sway, but I will dance some other figures with more "action" - e.g. with oversway / broken sway or something else.

I hope you can give me some give examples

Thanks,
Flo

In the context of "a basic-only competition" tango has no sway whatsoever. An oversway is not likely to be a legal figure in that setting, as it is fellow level.

Hi Flo
forget sway in Tango. And rise.
Sway in some picture steps, but these are not basic figures. Anonymous is correct

Ok, but I think it´s possible to dance some figures with sway - i.g. back corté danced with oversway or chassé + whisk (first slow with sway). But I am not sure?

Thanks

Flo. No sway in the International style of Tango. Oversway is a picture step and is stationary and you are not swaying to turn. Here's where it can get tricky. A Fallaway in the Waltz, some do a sway on the first two steps. The same couple would not do the sway on the same steps in the Tango. Forget the sway !!!.
