Dancing is alive in China

My friends and teachers have just come back from four competitions. Two of which were in China. They say that dancing is now so popular that they invited eight out of the top forty to compete. Usually a top three would be invited. They will of course be in the final. That leaves three places for the locals. But this year eight were invited. My teachers made the final in all four competitions. It wasn't a foregone conclusion on who was going to be in those finals. They had to work hard and suprised themselves. The city they danced in has four million inhabitants. From the hotel they had a police escort to get them around to the local Squares for a promotion show. The enthusiasm of the peple was exciting to see.
