Katelyn,
hi
well i can see by your advice, that you would love too be a dancer, i once been a dancer, before i had 2 beautiful Children, Angie and Colleen. I love them they are my life now, Dancing used to be my life untill my children came along with my great husband. They are my life now!! and i mean i know you would love to be a dancer, but not having a lot of money and things like that does not always mean you can not shoot for your dreams and make your dreams come true. you know? Because i got a scollar ship in 12th grade, but i always danced, dancing was the only thing on my mind. Then i got into a really deep relationship with who is now my husband **Brad** i love him with all my heart, so yes keep your dreams and hopes up! Because SomeDay, You will be the most perfect dancer ever!
Signed:
Tiffany ♥

Hey Katelyn,

I totally understand how you feel. Since I was 10 or 11 years old I felt this passion for dance. And deep down I always wanted to become a dancer but my parents are academic freaks, so that was sort of a problem. And they put me in piano, which was also not my passion.
So I just did hip hop on my own. And I would practice by watching music videos and such.
However, I had always wanted to be trained in dancing, because there are so many forms of dance that you absolutely need training (i.e. ballroom). So I decided to take lessons. How did I pay for them? I used money that I got from some scholarships (not dance scholarships, academic scholarships) plus some money I made during the summer, and that is how I'm able to afford the lessons. But without that money, I would never be able to afford the lessons.

So, what I can recommend is, don't rely on your parents to help you with it. Just work really hard during the summer, and hopefully you'll make enough money. If you are in university or college, you have a good four months and you can make quite a bit of dough, enough to get some pretty good quality lessons. If you're in high school, I say take it easy on the quality of the lessons.

But good luck, and keep us updated on the situation!
