The video demonstrating the natural (right) turn makes no mention of the (man's) keeping the feet aligned between steps 4 and 5 of the turn (heel pull). None of the discussion of the demonstration videos of the modern dances mentions the man's use of the knees - to initiate or complete a phrase of music (although the video shows the man doing it)

Actually, our video clips "make no mention" of anything, as they are only demonstrations. The instruction is supposed to be contained in the written descriptions, however, very little of the content has been added yet.

As nice an idea as it was, I've discovered that as the website admin I can't build the entire website myself. Actually, I could, but it would take me 10 more years to finish. So I'm focusing my efforts on the video footage, and I'm going to let you, the users, create the written content for me.

Of course I have to write the code that will allow you to do that. But in the meantime, if you have some descriptions, comments, notes, etc you'd like to add to the "Description" page of any particular figure, PLEASE send it to me. Provided the content you send me is articulate, accurate, and informative, I will be happy to post it to the appropriate page and give you proper credit.

Miles. If you look at the book it is a type of heel turn which is called a heel pull. Don't make anything sinister about it. Its a step to the side and drag the other foot through. It is a down step just like a Change of Direction. Or many other Drag Hesitations that you do in other dances. The videos are terrific aren't they. Have you brought them to full screen size by double clicking. Good Luck.
