I wonder if we are seeing a change in the type of music being used for a Rumba. Not in competitions yet. I have several professional demonstrations on tape and DVD where they have danced to music and singing by popular artists. Sinatra . I Did It My Way. Enya Only Time.Colm Wilkinson Till You Came Into My Life. Just to mention a few. They are all played extremely slow, about 25 bars a minute. Maybe we are seeing evolution at work here. My humble opinion is I like it. Has anyone a tune they like to Rumba to which is not strictly a Rumba. Like Nora Jones singing Don't Know Why.
