Hair Pieces

Does anyone know where I could purchase hair pieces (e.g., a bun for latin or standard) designed for dancing, in North America.

I saw some advertised on a European site but have not been able to find the same thing in the US or Canada.

Thanks in advance,

M.

I've used clip on hairpieces made by Revlon for dancing. They work just fine if you make sure they are attached well and, depending on the style, use a hair net to keep everything solid. I haven't seen any hairpieces designed specifically for ballroom dancing (though I have seen some hairpieces for sale on sites for Irish dancing).

Try going to DanZ( google for the site)

I bought a bun cover last week at a comp that is fantastic. I have short hair and it worked great.... Has little rhinestones in them that sparkle just right.

Hello,

Thanks for the info. Do you have more details re DanZ, e.g., where they are located and how to find them. I am having a hard time googling them (all kinds of junk comes up).

Thanks!

M.

I actually dealt with this same issue just last week.
I found several chignons on ebay that looked promising:

Also, Ken Paves and Jessica Simpson have a line of extensions, etc and the line includes a lovely chignon: http://www.hairextensions.com/product.php?productid=198&cat=0&page=1

My problem is that my hair color is difficult to match. So, ordering online without samples was not an option for me. And, as usual, I was doing this at the last possible minute. You can order a hair ring and match your hair color - if you have time.

Instead, I went to a local wig shop and bought a ponytail clip in piece. I then purchased a Hairagami bun thingee and it works beautifully. So easy - and my "hair" is so full. It's really very pretty. I'm not a fan of fake hair because I think it all looks so...fake. But, this piece (purchased for $30) matches my hair beautifully. My own boyfriend couldn't tell that I was wearing a piece.

Best of luck! I know how frustrating this can be.
