Here are some interesting facts:
The "new look" for BallroomDancers.com was designed way back in 2002, but the transition took over 4 years to complete. The homepage was the last page to adopt the new look on April 8, 2007, marking the completion of the transition.
The new design was originally conceived for the Dancetalk mesage board, to accommodate various screen sizes and automatically expand when the messages indented farther to the right.
Most of the website's pages were converted within the first year. The most difficult area was the "My Ballroomdancers" user interface, which took twice as long as the entire rest of the website. If you haven't seen it yet, log in to your user account now and you'll see why.
You should find the new homepage much more useful than ever before. Previously just a collection of links, the homepage now boasts miniature versions of other areas of the website ("widgets"), which give users a much better idea what we're all about.
