I need help in keeping my frame. I've seen a bar used on "Dancing with the Stars". Can anyone tell me where I can buy one?

My pro uses a broom handle for training. A dance frame has a strange feel to it and doesn't fit everyone. I've tried both and prefer a broom handle.

Can you explain how to use that straight broom handle, and what to look for as a correct frame.

Eyfoi. It, or walking stick can only be laid across the mans arms at the crease above the elbows whilst in ballroom position.
The centre of the broom handle will be touching the chest. This helps to maintain a constant position of the arms in relation to the rest of the body. Without and not knowing, it is possible on a Reverse Turn for instance, that the body gets in front of the elbow. Instead of a stick or a frame it is possible for the man to crasps his tie with the right arm at a right angle and keeps it taught and dances. It makes sure that the whole of the side turns in one peice. Keep dancing

I believe the "new" one is called simply "dance frame" and was not at all hard to find in a quick web search.

I'm not sure I like the idea though. Ultimately you have to learn the awareness of where your arms are.

Bob. For Dance Frame. Google Dance Frame. Everything you need to know and how to buy is there. They have been around for several years. If you saw the original Japanese " Shall we Dance ". It was featured in that film.
I saw recently in Ballroom Bootcamp a Hula Hoop was used around the shoulders to help keep the correct shape. good luck.

Thanks for everyones' input; I googled "dance frame" and found it quickly. I look forward to using it. By the way I did see the Japanese "Shall We Dance" and highly recommend it; maybe that is where I first saw the frame tool but it did not register at the time.

In the film the guy was ouside the studio in a car park with the frame on.
