My husband and I just started lessons in February at our local Arthur Murray Studio. The corporate experience was not that great, but our instructor was. Our lessons were enjoyable and well done.
He has since changed to another AM studio, also in the area, and we are giving it one more chance.
As I read these forums, I wonder if we have done the smart thing staying with AM. I have tried looking into other studios in the NYC area, but the amount of them is daunting! How do you know where to begin?
So here is my question...does anyone know of a good, reasonable studio in the New York City or Northeast Queens area (We have Jersey right cross the river too, so anything in Hudson or Bergen County would be good too)? Word of mouth is always a powerful endorsement!
Thank you for any help!
PS I read in these forums that most good teachers want to start their own studios as soon as possible. Our instructor has talked about doing this (which I would love), do you think this is a good sign? LOL
