I have trouble finding the 12,1-a-2,1-a-2 count in jive music that I am not already familiar with. Any tips or help?

If I was teaching I would count from the beginning Q Q. Q and Q. then to the Right Q and Q . Begin again. Eight steps in all, over Six beats. Usually the Jive is the easiest of all the dances to pick up music wise. Like every other dance. Instruction is the only way to go.Have fun
