I'm fairly new at dancing and I'm going to be in a showcase with my instructor but am not sure what to dance to or what type of dance to do. The showcase is suppose to be danced to musice from movies. I like the swing and am just learning the rumba.

Looking for any suggestions on any great music to dance to.

Thanks

Thank you for your suggestion. It was also suggested by someone else so it gets two votes.

FUN!!

The "Titanic" song (My Heart Will Go On) is a good rumba.

The "For the Boys" soundtrack has some fantastic options. Also, check out the soundtracks for: "Top Gun", "Cocktail", "Footloose"...all have good swing options.

Elvis Prestley's "Hound Dog" would be a fun swing. It was in "Forrest Gump" and "Grease".

Good luck!

No problem!

Also, "Crocodile Rock" by Elton John would be fun. It was in the movie High Fidelity.

My suggestion is to make a list of the songs you would like to dance to and then research the song to see if it was in a movie. If you know the artist of the song, you can typically look them up on imdb.com and that will tell you if their music is featured in any film.
