Have owned 17 studios over the yrs ( large and small) and managed many .
Do not be fooled by the fact that you are the only one. that word of caution is from empirical evidence.

First question-- did you market research the area ( basic ads, fliers ? )

Secondly-- how close is your nearest competitor ?.

Thirdly-- what price structure are you going to base your lesons upon ?

Most importantly-- do you have a part time receptionist, to take business calls, when you are not available , at your location ?

And-- of course-- what system are you using for teaching.?

This is a very basic outline you should consider, BEFORE entering into leases etc.

Caveat emptor-- I have a business degree and am highly qaulified in several genres-- do you know what that guarantees me ?-- Nothing !!

Plan ahead is the best advice in these early ( and later ) stages .

PS-- dont forget Insurance .

i am going to teach american style ,and argentine tango,a bit of salsa,no international cause the people there are mostly people that want to meet persons and want just to dance ! and i believe mostly social dancing would be a better idea ! i will work mostly in groups for the people not to pay a lot ! and private in offers (private-group ) and offcaurse the parties every friday ! ! (Yes Receptionist )!!!! "Very important" ! mostly groups and private !
First in small town second in a big one !

Good idea to stay with social-- you can always upgrade if necessary .-- Sounds like you may have a winner !

if you ever decide to bring in a coach for workshops or training, would be up to making a trip .

I suggest you get a program started before you make any arrangements for guest teaching. Establish what the needs are ( yours and theirs ) Should take 2/3 months .
When one first opens, you tend to get the curiousity seekers. it wil then start to take shape. If like most other places, the summer time affects your business, then make sure you have enough resources to carry you thru those periods .
