Hello!

Does anyone knows where I can find a video explaining Tipple Chasse to R (Quickstep) in detail?

If not, could someone please explain me in detail how this step should be preformed?

Tks in advance.

Commence at corner after dancing 1.2.3. of Nat.--- step back with left as you commence to turn R--- place r foot to side as you face the new LOD --close your l to your r and commence to turn one eight more r foot to side and slightly fwd,---- this should put you about d.w. on the new lod then----

as you have stepped r. foot to the side and slightly fwd ., prepare to step O/side partner l. foot and dance into a fwd lock .
These are purely directional movements , and you need to consult a teacher or tech. book , to acquire all the accompanying data .

It also may be danced along the LOD .

All this, is on the assumption that you have a basic working knowledge of the dance .

I could write the detail down-- too wordy and long-- Advice-- there are videos available for Br,level -- Len Goodman has them .Go to IDTA website

word of caution-- videos are meant to enhance the private and Class lesson. there are too many nuances in this genre .Have had the unfortunate " pleasure ? " , of undoing all the mistakes, that a couple I taught, that they had perfected ?, learning from tapes .

Antonio. Once you get the feet and the alignement right pay attention to your top line. In Ballroom Dancing there are no down lines. Especially on a Tipple Chasse. It is an up line. Too often a couple will on a Tipple collapse the side and produce a line which is down. Good Luck.
