usually i wear weights while im dancing. Some people say that wearing weights isn't good for a 14 year old boy. Is it true?

I've heard that they aren't really good for anyone, that injury is more likely with them. Why would you wear weights when you dance?

I assume you're wearing these weights to build leg strength. I suggest you use them in a gym, where you can exercise with them in a controlled way

My friend says your legs are hot. JK! Are they really yours? However, on to more serious matters. I feel that it will alter your technique. I am a professional ballroom dancer from France and I feel that you seek some serious help. So how long have ou been dancing? Any questions? Please respond! - Ernie!

Hi alanboy
Remember i'm not a medical doctor. But i don't see anything wrong with you using weights, provided they're not excessive (how much weight on each leg?). Have you been given exercises to do?.
I would get advice from either a really good dance coach, or a physiotherapist

Yes, how much weight is on each leg? What exactly are you trying to accomplish by wearing the weights? I feel that if you want to tone your legs to be more muscular, I have some exercises that you can do to tone your legs! Let me know if you would like them!

Weights around the ankles. If they are the normal type that can be bought in a sports store they weigh 1/2 a kilo each one. That is not excesive. Apart from the excercise value they do make a person aware of what the feet are doing. They do make a person step straight ahead if that is a problem. So would a pair of diving boots.
