Could someone please comment on proper poise for the Lady during a Promenade Checking Action. I believe the poise for the Man should be forward but I'm unsure for the Lady.

Paul and dot. you need to explain a bit more, For me in both the Waltz or the Foxtrot you are asking about a movement called the Chair when you write a checking action following. an Open Promenade. Who knows , in American Smooth it might be called a sit down by some teachers.

Again the Question- after an Open Telemark DLW, a “Chair” is executed- What is the Lady's poise? Someone responded with the answer “Forward intent, but must not have even a hint of falling into the hold - she has to fill out the trailing side of the promenade still.” Taking the sequence a bit further, after the chair, recover back and slip pivot DLC. would the Lady's poise still be forward or does she need to be the leader on the recover and have a backward poise?

Paul and dot. I'll need to look this one up as done by the champions. But myself and my partner come over a bent front knee, both knees are bent. We recover and do a Lung to the right . That's the one where the lady takes the RF behind. We recover and do a Curving Feather all in Foxtrot. This can be done in the Waltz also. Good luck
