Can anyone recommend a good, solid online business that sells tango supplies? One that you've used a lot and can say with surity is a legitamite business?

My wife and I ordered a CD from http://www.thetangoshop.com on September 9th, 2007 and never received it, even though we paid via Paypal. Paypal does not support their claims of how safe they are to use for online payment unless the purchase was made on Ebay. So all those hundreds of online businesses that take paypal are able to take your money and Paypal will email you as they did us and say, "sorry, we can't help you".

Each attempt to email thetangoshop.com has led to getting no reply from them. In December, after a full 3 months, we asked for our money back and they will not answer. We are now disputing this with our bank and I am getting the law in California involved.

It just goes to show you that you can't trust an online business just by its claims of being professional or its appearance.

So if you can recommend a solid, legitamite business for us to use in the future, I'd appreciate it. We dont' know who to trust. Meanwhile, buyer beware: Don't shop at thetangoshop.com and if you do, don't expect any customer service or any refunds.

I feel your pain, I order ballroom shoes from a company back in Alabama and guess what? Did not get the shoes I had ordered and many calls to customer service, e-mails ect. no response. So I contacted the Better Business Bureau in that state and looked on their website and found this business listed in a pretty unfavorable light. I have since requested to have the paperwork sent to me to file a claim against them and hopefully get my money returned. Make sure you have copies of e-mails, billing, copies of charges to your bank account ect. I was told that this would be very helpful when they process my claim. Like you I thought I had chosed a reputable company, but got scammed in the process. I hope this helps you and you get some form of satisfaction.
