I noticed the jonathon and katusha split post and wanted to add my own lament over my favorite couple. Pierre and Joanna are in the american rhythm division and were on the pbs ballroon challenge last week with different partners. I guess it worked out for joanna since she won the division, but they dont have quite the same excitement and energy as when she dances with pierre. The black and white number they did last year and the demo they put on the year before were just great. I've never seen a more perfectly matched couple, oh well I'll get over it. I cant wait till next week to she my favorite dancer - Yulia Z.

I heard (keyword - "heard") that Pierre dumped Joanna when he got the opportunity to dance with Julia Gorchakova (a champion with her husband, Bob Powers). Again, that's just what I've heard.

I thought Joanna looked much better this year. I think she is well-matched with Jose and he showed her off nicely. And, she looked much slimmer - I don't know if it was her costuming or her actual body, but she looked great. I did like their Black & White number last year. That was pretty awesome. Pierre is definitely high energy!!

If what I heard is true, that must've been a great feeling to come in 1st over her former partner, but who knows?!? You know how these dance rumors go....

Max and Yulia perform their retirement dance for Max in ABC. I will miss the Max and Yulia partnership. However, when you see her dance with her new partner Riccardo, you will be extremely delighted. Just like Max, Riccardo has fantastic presence and personality on the floor and is a great dancer!! I miss Tony and Elena competing. Jose and Joanna are looking great and I have always admired Joanna (she's so expressive and engaging with the audience), however Jose in my opinion has a long way to go before he approaches the presence that Tony has).
