Although my next showcase is quite a bit away, my instructor told me to start thinking of songs/dances I would like to do. Right now I'm considering a Swing to a 50s song. A Swing thats got the 50s music, the costume, and the fun. However, I've only been able to find a few songs that I like. Does anyone know of any songs that are from the 50s/have a 50s feel that work for a Swing?

Thanks!

In the 50's traditional swing changed to bop, I was there:

The Uof Kentucky has a wed sitehttp:http://www.uky.edu/StudentOrgs/HKSDC/Music.html

Also apple iTunes on the website when you browse for music you can go to charts and it will list songs they have available by years going back to the 30's in R&B etc

There is a lot of good music to dance to from the 50's you can swing to a lot of Elvis music
good luck Vern
