For those who don't know the WDC represent the Professionals. The IDSF represent the Amateurs. They don't agree and that's putting it mildly. Now the IDSF have in their organisation a newly formed professional group going under the name of IPDSC, who intend to run Professional Competitions.
So its only fair that the WDC will form an Amateur branch that will run competitions. The IDSF if they run true to what is for them normal will attempt to blacklist anybody competitor or adjudicator who takes part in their oppositions events. All this information can be found on dancesport uk and go to DanceNewsNet. infonet

So, are you a big endian or a little endian.

ericlund. I'm not sure what an endian is. I dont know if all of dancing being under one controling body is good or bad. Amatuers and Professionals have always had their own organisation looking after there interests. If you look into developments of late you will find the Amatuer body are telling you which competitions you can and cannot enter. If you do you will be banned. This also goes for adjudicators. I don't think anyone has the right to tell me where I can and cannot dance or in the case of a judge , who I can work for.
Anybody who wishes can go back through all of the goings on by going to Dancesport UK and to DanceNewsNet or find the IDSF site or the WDC to get their points of view.

Sorry, a little literary humor. Read Gulliver's Travels.

IMO, if someone is going to ban me for dancing outside their "control", I'll take my money somewhere else. If enough people take that stance, then they will change or die.

Letting a bad organization die is not a bad thing. Something else will fill the void, and hopefully better. That's Darwin's conclusion, at any rate.

eciclund. Its not that easy. If you were to leave where would you compete untill the WDC start their Amateur section. I am not being unkind if I point out from their own web site that the IDSF they intend to take control of Rock n Roll. Cheer Union and the Wheelchair section. All of this can be found on their site.
Soon we will have the riducules situation where we have four pairs who can claim to be World Champions. A bit like prize fighters. This is all being brought about by one mob wanting to controll everything. I'll give you one guess who they are. As I say I am not being unkind it is all there on their web site. If only people would sit up and take notice of what is going on before it reaches your front garden.
