hi, i'm trying to look for a good pair of standard shoes. can anyone give me a couple of good brands to choose from.

Supadance shoes are real nice. They're not cheap, but they are worth the money. If you can't afford them, try a pair of of basic shoes from DANSport. They make a good quality shoe at a reasonable price.

I wear Amys After 5 brand. You can buy them at amysafter5.com They are a fairly new brand but I find them to be more comfortable and made of better materials then even the top brands like supadance. And they are 1/2 the price of the top brands! Plus my balance improved when I started wearing them. I defiantly recommend giving them a try.
