does anyone have an opinion on the Arthur Murray's teacher training program? Does anyone have any idea how much $ new-be instructors make per class?

I was in Vegas 26 to 29/March of 08 on a business trip. Arthur Murary Studios had their competition in the ballroom of LUXOR.

There were a lot of fun in the competition. But the level of the dance was pretty much limited.

Much depends on the school, as they are all individually owned and training can vary from very poor to excellent.

Larger metro areas, in most cases, have accesss to the better coaches and trainers .

It provides the best " social " level format ( as does Freds ) for new entry level teachers.

Earning capacity also can vary. It can be salary based-- hours taught based and or combos of that.

Normally paid on hrs taught with a commission incentive on hrs purchased by the student.

Weekly socials and special events are also paid in addition to regular teaching .
Top flight teachers can make incomes of $ 30,000 a yr plus.on a 30 hr a week schedule .
