I've noticed these last few years that when the man creates a picture line, in ballroom dancing, he invariably turns his head away from his girl. I was always taught that when I create a line then look towards the lady. I was also taught that an artist would always look at his creation.

When watching this trend of the man turning his head away, from the line, I imagine he's saying, What's that smell!?

lluv2Dance. You are of course refering to the Standard Style of Ballroom dancing. In the Rumba it is most important that you don't ignore your partner. One of our very important teachers said I would rather see somebody looking at their partner all the time than not at all. Standard. Whatever produces the most pleasing picture. I doubt whether there is a hard and fast rule for that one. Except never look into the ladies ear. Look over the top of her head if you do look in that direction. Have you had your outing to Blackpool yet.
