I'm a latin dancer from europe moving to san diego, ca in august this year.
I'm competing in IDSF amateur Latin category.

Does anybody know a studio or/and good teachers in San Diego?

Best regards, paul

Paul,

I'm surprised that you haven't received a response yet.

I don't live in San Diego but you can start with this link and contact the places directly. In the US, different studios have widely varying policies about practice time.

Dance places in San Diego

Good luck.

There are a number of studios as well as teachers in the San Diego region. You did not mention where, in SD, specifically. You may want to start in the Gas Lamp District, it is near the Convention Center. Surrounding suburbs also offer a variety of studios and accessible teachers/coaches as well. Several studios post on the web too.

I've already searched for dance studios in SD - and found a lot.

But all these offered courses sounded like "gold" or "silver" course.
Nothing like groupe lessons for competitive dancing or so.

The region in SD where I'm going to stay will be at the san diego state university. But I haven't an appartment yet - so I'm flexibel.

It would be very nice if somebody could tell something about his/her favorite dance studio and his/her favorite teacher.

Start with champtionballroom on 5th street in San Diego.
olga Ginsberg as well as other individual teachers are there with
excellent credentials and experience in competition for latin.
San Diego State University is about 20 minutes from the studio depending on traffic and what time of day/night you will travel.
Many studios will post group lessons, as it is not as intimidating to a social dance person. Not everyone is a competitor giggle. Training and individual lessons/coaching can be inquired into by you.
