Cannot remeber who posted this phrase, but meant to comment...

I guess i am one that qualifies.

heres the deal.. whether you realise it or not ( apparently not ) its the " oldies " who are still training the present and future champions.

Do you really believe that because we hung up our" competitive " shoes , we did not develop new ideas, theories , and trends ? .

Maybe you need to re think your position on our continuing contributions .

If my memory serves me, that comment was aimed at me.

Some folks feel safer criticising someone indirectly as a member of a group rather than directly as an indivdual. In this case, the poster simply lacked the talent to identify me more discretely.

Don't let someone's lack of articulation bother you. Most of the users here appreciate your input even if we may disagree from time to time.

In spite of some of the more unfortunate threads that develop, I still believe that much more help than harm comes out of these exchanges. If nothing else, they can encourage folks to give more thought to their dancing.

See you around.

Actually, it was a lady who posted the comment .

As to agreeing with me.. thats NEVER why I post ..

I,m more interested in diseminating information, gathered from some of the finest sources .

Theories need to be challenged ( i always did ! )

I don't believe that I made any reference to gender.

As someone who is new to ballroom dancing and regularly reads the posts on this website, I personally appreciate any input from someone who knows more about ballroom dancing than I do. So thank you for your past and any future posts.

Terence. The teacher i go to , thats when she is here which at the moment is not very often. I wont mention the Professionals name but it would be well known to all who follow dancing. When my teacher said she had had some lessons with this person just recently in the UK. I know for a fact is well over 65. I said does he actually dance with you if it is necessary to show you something. She said he could dance rings around me. I said how about his wife and partner. She also. We have a former top dancer British winner as well as all the other titles. His name would be known to all. He came here to retire which by demand he has not You should see him move. Cheers.

this is not uncommon.. there is a gentleman in a city close to me, in his mid 80s, who runs a large school AND teaches every day !.

The well known English coach who visits (think I might know who that is ,at a guess ) are from the same " era ".

I currently have an Amat. couple I,m coaching who are in their late 70s, and are getting ready to compete in Open standard ( senior div. )
