Anyone else have this somewhat common condition with their knee's? (Chondromalacia Patella)

If so I'm curious how you cope with dance, how you manage your pain during and after dancing, etc.

Thanks!

First of all, you need to support the knees. I use elastic knee braces which help a great deal.

Just be sure not to put them on until just prior to dancing and take them off when you're finished.

Anastasiadancer.
Google Chrodromalacia Patella. Something has caused the catalage to wear out. This is only a suggestion. Do you have feet or a foot that do not step in line with your knee. In other words are your feet turned out to a different line to your knee when you step.
If it were me I would steer off the Latin Style where the turn out of the feet is an important part of the dance. Good Luck.
