I visited this web because there is a school intrams here in our school...
one of the competition that will be compete is ballroom dancing....
at first...we tried to follow the free tutorials on this web.....the waltz..
it's really hard to do the spin turn....i also scanned some books about ballroom dancing.....
but the step is hard to understand....
can any one tell me the trick n spinning???

Tightening your abdominal and hip muscles will help you spin better.

Initiate the spin with body action and keep the shoulders turning to the end.

Also, keep your head erect with your chin up.

Most importantly, be sure that both you and your partner can execute the moves individually. You can't spin if your partner is clinging desperately to you for balance.

It might be worth pointing out that in the International Standard Style a Natural Spin Turn is not a Spin but a Pivot.
For the man a Double Reverse Spin is a Spin. It can hardly be called a Spin for the lady though. How many true spins are there in the Standard Style.
American Smooth now that's a different story. In Latin it happens all the time.

The key to make a good spin is your head. Don't keep your head down. Keep it up and stay in the back. And your partner must do so too. Then do the spin with all of your body (not just your feet). Remember to keep your head up and stay back.
