I assume you mean American rhythm Bolero, instead of Spain's national dance? I have an older DanceVision Tape Ron Montez teaching Beginning/Intermediate Bolero (I haven't seen the new one, which has his blonde wife assisting him -- the one I'm thinking of had him assisted by a gal with dark hair). As a guy, I always admired the cut of the dress the assistant wears in the tape. I hope you may have seen it, because as a guy, I also have little skill in describing dresses to women! :) But here goes (by memory): the dress is of good length, probably at least half-way down her thigh. From what my dance partner as said, it has a "kerchief" hem; the "fluted" bottom of the dress swirls around very nicely. I believe the neck line is referred to as a "yoke" (?) - in any case, it's sort of like the top half of an "H." In the back, there is something hanging off the shoulders: I don't know how to describe it other than it looks a bit like bunting: it also seemed to sweep around about a bit (though much less so than the dress bottom). I believe part of the back was open, but not all that much. It was a solid color, though there may have been some glitter/rhinestones on the "kerchief" tails. All the ladies who have watched the tape admire the dress, and my regular partner has looked hard for one "off the rack," without success, however. She was thinking of getting one made for her. If you go that route, my one caution would be about the "bunting" -- don't have it so "loose" that the guy's hands can get tangled up in it!
