Social Dancer
(taken at a local studio near Atlanta during their recent Christmas party)

Let this be a lesson for the ladies about social-dancing attire.

PS I'd pay money to see a photo of the same couple taken two seconds later.

She "might" have been dancing a forward swivel. What colour were her knickers?
If we had that shot two seconds later,

we'd know the color of her 'knickers.'

Has it been noticed that she is standing on her dress and probably finished on the floor. The step they are trying has the wrong alignment for a Feather Step. I would say it was to be a Curving Feather gone slightly wrong..
This brings up an important point here. The lady has obviously not tried to dance in that dress before which is a bad mistake to be made by anyone.
Yes, it has.

The dress under the heel of her right shoe is what I found interesting.

Unless she is moving backwards, I can't see how it got there.

PS I've met this lady before although I haven't danced with her (at least not that I can remember). She's much prettier in person.

At first, I thought we were looking at the third leg coming out of the man's back!

Lets look at some of the good points. Apart from standing on the dress which is probably already affecting the step.Probably causing the weight to be not in exactly the correct place.
Good Points. Man's heel leaving the floor. Ladies knee bending towards her front as she extends the toe of the rear foot. . Man's left hand thumb up which is how most are dancing today. Back of ladies armpit resting on the man's wrist. Right bust in contact with the partner. I would class them as trained dancers well above average.
I don't recall seeing the man

but I can confirm that the woman has had a fair amount of training. I don't if she competes but I have seen her at several social functions and she is a decent dancer.

The guy in the mirror if he is watching needs to learn at exactly what height his left hand should be and keep it there..His right needs to be lifted so that he is even across the shoulder We can learn a lot by watching others providing we know what to look for and know what is the remedy.

consider me an idiot, but this seems very survivable given what is displayed. the foot that has weight on it is on the dress but the foot that is traveling is free and clear of obstruction. it will continue on to its final destination although probably considerably shorter than her normal stride; but judging by the cut of the dress that will not be greatly affected. and as soon as she transfers weight her skirt will be freed, and she can continue on her merry way. so unless we know that she fell what really is wrong?
