I've been dancing a few years now. I'd say i'm an advanced beginner. LOL! Maybe. I just keep on doing my best to improve.

I LOVE dance too. it is fun. It is the one aerobic exercise I love so much I want to do more of it.

I've a knee that cannot handle the Latin dances, but they are fun too.

I stick to ballroom. I love Waltz in particular.

And my hubby actually decided to learn.

hello everyone.

I started dancing in September last year, so I haven't been doing it that long. I d both latin and ballroomdances, and I love it.
I do it once a week, but I get compliments almost every week, because I seem to be a quick learner.
my only problem is that I should make sure I hae enough arm tension while dancing. I always seem to forget about that.. can anyone give me a tip how I can make sure I have enough arm tension?

Hi. I'm new here as well. A beginner in techniques. I try the west coast and have found that as long as you stick with the counts and practice, practice, practice the counts, it can only get easier. I dance as though I have two left, or right feet when it comes to ballroom because I do so much of dance aerobics (zumba instructor, certified). I noticed that there is a question about where to learn. A greeeat place is Salsa Heat Dance studios and Dance Orlando, if either reside here and surrounding areas or even on a trip to Orlando! Thirty minutes before the opening of Dance Orlando floors, there are ALWAYS lessons to try out on the dance floor! Salsa Heat is wonderful where you learn all of the levels from beginners up to intermediate into advanced! If I didn't have such busy schedule, by now, I would have been advanced. I've missed so many levels and it is never to late to go back.

Dancing is fun...yes it is! And, at the same time while dancing, calories are being burned, and you get toned and firm. Actually, dancing in aerobics helped me with more balance and especially with zumba, I feel better about ballroom because it teaches me how only in fast movement. Therefore, the two left feet are from not dancing! With zumba, even though anyone can do it, it familiarizes your FEET with ballroom type movement! So, it is not only a health topic, it is educational.

o yes, dancing is great fun! I have always watched it on television, and I really wanted to it myself as well. So I went to a dancing class, but I did not have a partner at that time. It didn't work out the way I had hoped..
I kept on waiting, and hoping my opportunity would come as well, and it came! A friend of an old classmate of mine didn't have a partner anymore, so he immediately thought of me, he asked me if I still wanted to dance. I was so thankful for that!
So now I have been dancing since September '08. It hasn't been that long, but every week I get complimented about doing so well, and that they're proud of what I've accomplished so far. I only have to watch my arm tension, but that's something I can work on. But if someone has a tip for me about that, please tell me. I would be very grateful.

Actually I am computer programmer. But suddenly I fell in Love with dancing. It's not a fun only. It's creation. And when one dances with the partner -it's mutial creation. It's like team work but it's not a work at all - so much pleasure.vyampolka@yahoo.com
