Thats POP music, and has little or nothing to do with LATIN..

heres an analogy for you.. Q/ Step music in Spanish music construction ??...of course not.

The whole point of latin music, is its polyrhythms .. the musical interpretation is virtually impossbile in its true intent without that core value .

Even most of the major comps are finally "getting it".. sambas in portugese, rumbas in spanish .

The music is supposed to represent the character of the dance .

" No Alma y Corazon" without..

If one is talking "shows ", then ( and even then ? ) a lot more lattitude is taken ..

Very cute Diva Ginger...like it...wish to add :~}

Rumba is very sexy and flirty. So in Psychological terms you, the woman, are sending Schizophrenagenic messages to the man. Basically in human speak...go away closer.

You are allowing him to seduce you, and than you change your mind. You move away from him, settle your hip, show the other men you still have the goods and you don't want him. He pulls you in and you purr and slide and show him what you got that you still aren't convinced you want to share. You lead him on, you bring him in and than, back and away again.

Its a seduction scene, with lots of sexual tension. It isn't a bedroom romp in front of others. A lot of people confuse the anticipation with performing blatant sexual acts on the floor. One is raunchy, one is tantalizing. Tantalizing occurs when you give him the look and than change your mind and make him fight for it. The wrong way is to give him the look and than submit to him.

Feel pretty, feel desired and tease him. Play hard to get and make him work for it and when he thinks he's got it...too bad. You know you are so hot that you can abuse him and lead him on and he will still be chasing you. Whatever else you don't give into him, because than tomorrow you're just one more of his conquests and he'll be dancing with some other girl. One who isn't notched into his bedposts.

That's of course just my opinion...and only applies to the woman.

I think it's a combo of complete lust and "i love you i hate you", as ironic as it seems, no doubt it shuold be filled with absolute passion and desire. Full of raunchy sexy moves alongside sweet and subtle gestures.
