I have wondered about my old favorite songs and dance. Is there any ballroom dance that can go with music like this?

I'm thinking not, but decided to put it before those who know more than do I.

Without claiming any superior knowledge, have you tried Tango? - I think it could work rather well. It would make a change from all that Techno-Crap!

I'm sitting at my desk trying to come up with ideas for a wedding dance using Morcheeba's 'Rome Wasn't Built in a Day'. All thoughts welcome...

Telemark, you must be talking about International Tango. I can't see American Tango nor any other ballroom dance to that song, but it doesn't have enough Tango feel for my taste.

As far as your Rome song, I think it is perfect for West Coast Swing.

I was thinking International Tango, certainly. I don't think that the music is to my taste, either: but that wasn't the question.

As for my song, after the intro., it says Cha Cha to me. I know that the percussive accents aren't right, but it needs to be just a little more up-tempo for any Jive type action to work, I think. Whereas Cuban Breaks & a bit of Guapacha timing could work well in a DWTS sort of way.

For the song "It's The Singer Not The Song" it fits Swing better than anything else.

The song "Rome Wasn't Built In A Day" is a little more difficult. Yes in the beginning of the song there is a short section that sounds a little like Cha Cha but that disappears quickly. The best fit for this song is West Coast Swing. You could possibly do Rumba but it is a poor rumba. I don't think I could do cha cha without the 4&1.

I'm not sure that I would choose to dance to it at all: but then it isn't my wedding!
