shoe color

I know that nude is whats in, but can black or gold metallic work too? Are they faut pas?

Nikki,

The term is faux pas. It's french.

The reason that ballroom dancers wear nude is because it extends the leg. It gives you the illusion that your leg is actually longer than it is.

If you are an extraordinary dancer or have very long legs you can wear a different color shoe. Generally it's not advisable.

What belleoyourball said is very true! I get my shoes from www.theRuche.com they provide great shoes and you can custom make the heel to your liking! Also there shoes have extra padding. for more comfort.
