Does anyone know if there is any website that lists all teachers nationwide? Is there any website that provides classifieds service for people who look for teachers, or for independent teachers who want students in their regions?

Try the NDCA listing at:

www.NDCA.org

You have to look through the categories on the right, but it's there. You can search by location too! These instructors are all members of the NDCA...which basically means they pay membership dues. However, a lot of these instructors are certified, and they are much more likely to be experienced, reputable teachers than someone you find in the yellow pages.

Are you looking for a solicitation list, or a teacher for yourself? When choosing what list to look at,it does matter. The demographics of different types of instructors are quite variable for sales purposes.

Be more specific, and I'll check back

There are good listings at www.NDCA.org but if you dont find what you are looking for there, you could always try going to a search engine like yahoo and typing in "Dance Instuctors"

dancevisiondotcom has a directory of professionals and amateurs around the world. It isn't comprehensive, but it has a good number of top dancers/coaches listed.

Are you thinking of a region in particular? It might be a better idea to look into your local ballroom web sites and search for teachers there. Talking to studio owners in your area might also be a good idea if you're looking for a teacher or a position as a teacher. Another idea might be to attend competitions and talk to the judges or even the competitors there. You should be able to find what you're looking for that way.

Hope this helps,

tango

No site lists everybody, but there are several sights that I know of:

Dancespots.com
BallroomDancers.com
www.HaveToDance.com is good for the Northeast
USABDA.org has local chapters all over, and most local chapters list local teachers.

There are probably several more, but I can't remember them right now.

Good Luck!
