Eggs Foxtrot

Hi!

I'm teaching a couple of my friends a foxtrot for their wedding.

They are dancing to "How do you like your eggs in the morning". There is a foxtrot version around:
https://www.ballroomdancers.com/Music/info_album.asp?Album=1113

But I don't want the whole album! (believe it or not I've got enough of my own ballroom music that I don't want to splash out 22 for a whole other album!)

Anyone know of a place I can just get just that one track?

Am pretty well building the routine from scratch so any hints/suggestions of steps to include (esp. if they sync nicely with the music) would also be appreciated!

You think you know pressure 'til you have to teach a mate how to dance for his wedding!!! :-O

The Dean Martin version is well-known, and available from just about any download site, including iTunes & Amazon.

Hi,
Thanks for your message.

Yeah, we've got the original but the timing is a little off, will rejig it if I have to but would be good to have an "officially" done retempo of it.

I reckon the original comes in at about 132bpm (it doesn't actually keep a steady tempo - it drifts a bit...).

I use a clever piece of inexpensive software called, improbably, 'The Amazing Slow-Downer', which does a very good job of rendering the track a very acceptable foxtrot at 91% of original speed, without any change to pitch, and without doing violence to the vocal quality of the singers' voices.

I find it very useful to tweak all sorts of music that is 'nearly' but not quite at the right speed for dancing. +/- 10% is usually fine, and you can go further with instrumental music.

It is very useful as a teaching aid, because I can slow down tracks, for teaching & practise, without making sopranos into tenors, and it was money very well spent.
