Shoes for Wide Feet?

I need to order shoes again soon. I have been wearing Capezios simply because they seem to be the only brand to make shoes for wide feet. Does anyone know if any of the other brands carry wides or run wide.
I know someone will tell me to just order a larger size- but it really isn't the same thing. Wide feet are wide and they hurt if pinched into narrow shoes.
Thanks so much...

If someone told you that they would clearly be showing themselves as an inexperienced dancer. You have a tough proposition. DanceNaturals are for thin feet and a lot of Ray Roses are as well. Particularly stay away from the Carmen. It is an unforgiving toe squeezing shoe. It is well balanced and beautiful but I have very thin feet and they can still make me miserable.

This is my advice...get a pair of non-capezios and a shoe stretcher. Wet down the shoes, stretch them. Try them on and know that they really should be almost too tight. If they are still not right, wet them again and stretch them. This happens naturally with a dance shoe and after a few months I have to replace mine because they just always get too wide. This is an advantage for you.
Wet them, stretch them and eventually they'll be just right.

The other thing you can do is what I did (I have the opposite problem, very thin feet, people told me to just get a smaller size....). Buy all kinds of shoes until you get the right ones. Not economical but you do end up with a lot of people who love you when you give them away to the people who are in need but just can't afford.

Good luck!

Try Very Fine. Their shoes tend to run wide. They are not the most spectacular shoes, but they are also less expensive, and really, the definition of a good shoe is one that allows you to dance comfortably. Here is their website: www.veryfineshoes.com

Good luck!

I used Very Fine when I was starting out as I have wide feet. Buy them 1/2 size smaller, they stretch after about 3 wears, or experiment. If your in So. California there is a store you can visit in El Monte which is open on the weekends. I switched to shoes that last longer - I now use Stephanies for rhythm and club dances and SupraDance courtshoes with a round toe box I believe the style is 1008 or 1018 - I can't remember which but I purchased them from Champion Dance Shoes. They have fabric but also stretch out as well.

Thank you all
I am going to look at very fine and consider stretching if necessary. Hopefully I'll find something that works.

All Asian shoe companies run wide. There are all different kinds of qualities depending if they are made in China or Thaiwan. You don't have to settle for the quality of very fine. Take a look at Stephanie dance shoes which are much higher quality.
