HELP, PLEASE!!!!!!

My fiance and I are getting married next Saturday. Neither of us are great dancers, and unfortunetly, we never got around to taking dance lessons.

Our song is Love by Nat King Cole. Any suggestions for what type of dance style to use. We have been all over the website, but are unsure which really goes best with the song. Any helpful hints on easy steps would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!!!!!!

Well, the ideal dance for this song would of course be the Fox Trot; more specifically, an American Fox trot would be suited for the song. However, since you admit to being novices in this art, perhaps a slow single swing may be performed to it as well.

Other options to try: "Fascination" by Nat King Cole again, to which you could do the easier to learn "waltz", or you could try Anne Murray's "Could I have this dance", also a waltz. But if you wish to stick with L-O-V-E, then a fox-trot or a slow swing would work. Good luck and congratulations.

Question on bpm

Does anyone know how many beats per minute L.O.V.E. by Nat King Cole is? We are dancing to this song at our wedding, and we need to be able to tell the band what pace we've been practicing it at during lessons.

Thanks!

I measured it (from iTunes) at 15.56 seconds for 10 measures. That puts it at 154 beats per minute, or 18.5 measures per minute.

Enjoy dancing at your wedding.

I mistyped the measures per minute. I should have said 38.5.

Wiley To be on the safe side why not ask your teacher. If its Foxtrot or Waltz they are both played at 28 bpm. Not familiar with your song. If it was Fascination i could tell you Waltz 3/4
at 28bpm. Does l.O.V.E. havw a 123 beat if so it's Waltz
