hi!i want to ask u what u would do if u were in my situation.well i'm a university student but i wanna be a dancer.however i can't make them both up.i have to practice very hard in order to improve my skills and so my exam results are really bad.and if i study enough i can't spend enough time practicing and therefore i can'T be good enough in dancing.I hate this paradox!what do u think?

I agree with you Larinda. I know that by the time I get to university I will probably have a lot of dancing times during the week and a lot of studying, so Thalia show us all you can do both and I wish all the best for your studies and dancing!

Thalia. Never let dancing or any other sport interfere with your education. As an interest you might like to know that a vey famous soccer club in Holland. Ajax. Youngsters who show talent are picked and allowed out of school for soccer training. In the evening at the club they continue there schooling . If there grades aren't kept up to standard they leave the program. Somebody else will take their place.

She may not be compromising on her Math, but from what I can tell, she sure seems to be compromising on her English Grammar. Wouldn't "U" say so??

Yeah, Lauran, ain't I a stinker..

Sri.

PS: I have no comment on that school/dancing dilemma. I personally took several more years at grad school because of my predilection for dancing, and I don't want anyone to know about it.

I got through school with a 3.34, and danced. You can do both. Just consider your dancing as another course. Priorize your time accordingly. When you have an exam in History you do not neglect studying that in order to study your Math, do you? Just keep everything in focus...and enjoy every minute of it.

I would agree school is very important as I'm finishing my last year of High School and going to University next year....
You can however invole your dancing in your work as a stress relife.

Or maybe you should choose. When you say you want to be a dancer, do you mean professionally? It's a tough life, but it can be done.

If you want to be a professional dancer, maybe you should consider changing your major to dance (in the US; other places, you may need to go to a dance academy).

If being a dancer means you want to always dance for your own pleasure (but not necessarily earn money at it), then keep dancing but focus on your studies. You have the rest of your life to dance and you want to get a good job so you can afford all those dance lessons, shoes, clothes, etc.!
