Hi everyone! I just started dancing two months ago and it's been amazing so far. I was watching some dance videos and I would love to know the name of this one figure (which I think I've seen it in a few different dances). Funny you should ask. It doesn't officially have a name, but between me and my colleagues it's referred to as the "Dancing with the Stars", because there's one every episode!

This particular "action " was first publicly seen in movies . It was in an Adagio style Tango , danced by Rudolph Valentino in the 20s
