OK - maybe i'm old-fashioned - but i genuinely feel this site gives me so much of benefit that i'm beginning to feel almost embarrassed!!
Do you have any mechanism to allow someone to pay a subscription.? I'd hate this site to have to close or even curtail it's activities in any way, and if a sub would help i would more than gladly pay it. Another great learning centre video on tango - brilliant

Some special learning features on head styling and body sway (do's and don'ts)would be very useful too.
A beginners DVD would be great.
What's so good about the short video clips is that it's possible to learn them in a couple hours and then fine tune them in practice sessions, retaining the bits we like most. I copy each clip onto a zip drive for my lap-top and take it to a practice session with a print out of the steps. I can then play the routine one frame at a time if necessary.
I've bought many video-cassettes over the years. these contain so much material it's almost too daunting - and i have to take along a rack of equipment to do what i can do with just my lap-top. AND, they rarely print out the steps.

May your future plans include a DVD for beginners. They could be a big market, don't you think?

Dancing books frustrate me because the pictures make it difficult to determine left foot from right foot and line of dance. Maybe specially marked clothing and an actual line on the floor (occassionally) to show the line of dance.

I have learned so very much from your site and the CD that you sold me. I am indeed at least as greatful as the other dancers/viewers.

With your DVD my wishlist would look for options such as appropriate music and another option for continuation of the 1-2-3 or slow-slow-quick-quick prompts.

Wishing you the greatest prosperity.

Phil,

Thanks for the support. Don't worry... I'm not planning on shutting the site down any time soon. As of the last year or so, the site has been more or less paying for itself. If things were to remain this way forever, I'd probably sell it in the long run. But I have many more tricks up my sleeve (one of which is a membership-based service as you mentioned), and it's only a matter of time before we actually start turning a profit. In fact, if all goes as planned, I may someday be able to stop teaching private lessons and devote myself full-time to building the website and teaching by means of the internet. It won't happen tomorrow, but it will happen eventually.

And by the way, don't feel guilty about using the resources. This website owes almost all of its success to the free information.

Regards,
Jonathan Atkinson
